Tell Congress: No More Weapons for Israel

On December 19th, directors from 74 progressive organizations held a sit-in at the U.S. Capitol, resulting in over 50 arrests as they demanded Senate representatives address concerning discussions about reinstating Trump-era immigration policies and allocating billions for border militarization and Israeli weapons. The Senate Democrats' actions, prioritized before winter break, are criticized for potentially sacrificing families in Gaza and at the U.S.-Mexico border. Supporters are urged to write to their members of Congress, endorsing demands for a Permanent Ceasefire, cessation of military funding to Israel, and a shift from militarism to life-focused investments.

Call Congress: CEASEFIRE NOW!

This urgent call to action emphasizes the need for a Permanent Ceasefire in Gaza, where 2.3 million Palestinians face what is described as a genocide through bombings, starvation, and displacement by Israel. Rep. Cori Bush introduced the Ceasefire Now resolution (H.Res. 786), and 63 Congressmembers have called for a ceasefire. The call encourages people to flood Congress with calls, urging them to support a ceasefire and #StopArmingIsrael. Additionally, individuals are asked to tell their Senators to vote against a supplemental funding package for more weapons to Israel. The provided scripts guide callers in asking Senators and Representatives to take immediate steps for a ceasefire, humanitarian aid access to Gaza, an end to the siege, and no further funding to the Israeli military. The action emphasizes the urgency of stopping what is referred to as a genocide and ending U.S. complicity in Israel's violence.

End U.S. Military Funding to Israel

This statement highlights the substantial financial support the United States provides to the Israeli military, totaling at least $3.8 billion annually. The funds, described as a blank check, are criticized for enabling violence against Palestinians instead of addressing community needs in the U.S. The USCPR announces the launch of the "Palestine Will be Free: #StopArmingIsrael & Fund Our Communities" campaign, aiming to collectively halt U.S. military funding to Israel and redirect resources towards supporting domestic communities. The campaign emphasizes the interconnectedness of freedom for Palestine and collective freedom for all.
